Remembering the Sweetest Thing

This was originally posted in August 2011. We’re back at the beach this week and I keep thinking about this sweet scene. Being pregnant at the beach is kind of awesome, by the way. I’m all “Holla! My stomach is sticking out because I’m growing a human not because I love burritos!” (Because I do. Love them.)

Anyway. Enjoy.

So we got to the beach the other day, and I went into the bathroom to put my bathing suit on. Β I was excited to be on vacation, but not super thrilled to be displaying a 5-week postpartum body for all beach-goers to see. Β When I came out of the bathroom, sweet Liv was standing there in her own little swimsuit. Β She looked up at me with wide, blue eyes and said “Cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute.”

Circa May 2011. A few months prior. But so cute.

I didn’t really worry about how I looked after that.

  1. So sweet! Did you ever listen to Mark Driscoll’s Peasant Princess when he talks about making your spouse your standard of beauty? I feel like it’s kind of similar with how a little girl looks at her mom… That makes sense if you’ve heard the sermon, but if not, it just sounds weird πŸ˜‰

  2. Recently I was really, really low on cash and debts were eating me from all sides! That was UNTIL I decided to make money on the internet! I went to surveymoneymaker dot net, and started filling in surveys for cash, and surely I’ve been far more able to pay my bills! I’m so glad, I did this.. – kmix
